About US

Jill Donenfeld brings over ten years of catering experience and success in the culinary industry in New York and Los Angeles and is Co-Founder of The Culinistas. She built The Culinistas from the ground up: branding, hiring, training, and marketing the business. In 2013, she started Bottarga Dell’Isola, making and selling Italian-style cured fish roe to Eataly and high end restaurants in New York City. She has written numerous cookbooks and culinary-focused articles for Food and Wine, Men’s Journal, The Huffington Post, and National Geographic as well as other publications. Her cookbooks include Better on Toast (Harper Collins, 2015), Party Like a Culinista (Lake Isle Press, 2011) and two cookbooks written about international cuisine, Madagascar and Chettinad cuisine in India. She graduated from Barnard College in New York City with a major in Urban Planning.

Tiana Tenet is Co-Founder of The Culinistas. She spent the past five years as an investment specialist and advisor in J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank, consulting families and entrepreneurs on their investment, credit, estate and philanthropic goals. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Tiana spent a summer cooking in a Tuscan kitchen, assisted on the set of Giada at Home and contributed to Food Network Magazine. Tiana graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University, with a major in Marketing and minor in Italian. She grew up in New Jersey, sharing a passion for food with her family and recently received a diploma in Restaurant Entrepreneurship from New York University.
