Apples and Honey For A Sweet New Year

Whether you celebrate Rosh Hashanah or not, apples and honey are the perfect fall treat. For breakfast, we enjoy them over Persian style White Moustache yogurt, topped with all the nuts and seeds a bowl could dream of. If a tonic is more your speed, we suggest apple cider vinegar, honey, and finely grated ginger simmered, chilled, and enjoyed every morning for an antioxidant boost that will keep you going all day.
For lunch, we suggest roasting your apples with a little bit of olive oil and sumac, and mixing with pearled couscous, quick pickled sunchokes, almonds, and rosemary. Roasted apples also find their way into our salads, roast chickens, and desserts. While the preparation is simple, the creativity will impress any dinner guest. And for another party trick, whip out some infused honey with your apple snacks. Thyme Honey from oilladi is our go-to, produced by bees who feast on Greek thyme.
