How to Use Up Thanksgiving Odds and Ends

Napa Cabbage Salad

After the holiday, a big, crunchy, veg forward salad is all you’ll be craving. Start with shredded napa cabbage as your base, add in any leftover roasted sweet potatoes and brussels and finish it off with a gingery miso vinaigrette. This salad gets better with time, so prep up a batch ASAP. It’s a great lunch for work, supplement with turkey if you need to pack in some protein.

THE Sandwich

How could we not include the classic day after Thanksgiving treat. A loaf of your favorite bread accompanied by mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry sauce, and maybe even a little stuffing. Indulgent? Yes. Delicious? Also yes.


What better way to use your turkey carcass than to make stock? Any leftover onions, celery, carrots, and herbs can be thrown into the pot after the stock is prepared. Right before your soup is finished, add a little bit of gravy to help season the broth.

Flaky, comforting, and a hit with kids of all ages. Turkey pot pie can be assembled with pre made dough, or for a Sunday family project, homemade!
