Questions about this service

Culinista Cooking Class services are available in New York City as well as upstate, Westchester County, Fairfield County, CT, northern New Jersey, the Hamptons, the D.C. metro area, Los Angeles, and Aspen. If you need a chef in a different location, email q@theculinistas.com and we'll try our best to source a chef for you.

The service fee for a Culinista Kitchen® cooking class starts at $500 for a one-on-one class, and $1,000 for a group class. Base rates could be higher depending on market & needs. Additional costs include groceries, a $15 travel reimbursement for the chef & sales tax. Submit a request with event details and we’ll provide a proposal for your special occasion.

Yes. Our client services team works closely with our clients to develop a custom menu for the class and match you with the right chef. That means everything from the format you want, from a party environment, to a more focused class to a one on one. From Japanese to fresh made pastas, we are excited to teach!

Clients choose 3-4 simple dishes for each class, which can be used to snack on for lunch or paired together for dinner throughout the week. The chef will make one dish ahead of time as a snack; the others will be made collectively.
