Grill Season Isn’t Going Anywhere!

by The Culinistas

Summer is winding down, but grilling season is not over! We use our grills throughout the fall for swordfish steaks, red peppers, and avocados as well as standbys like chicken breast, steaks and pork chops. We have rounded up some of our favorite grill tools that are needed in every kitchen, as well as a few refreshing cocktails perfect for sipping while manning a hot grill!

Learn to quadrillage!

By definition, quadrillage is the square charred marks that are branded on food that is cooked on the hot grate of a grill. This term is derived from the French word "quadrille", meaning marked with squares or diamonds.

How, you wonder? Lay your food vertically on the grill. Let food char, then rotate 45 degrees to the right. When you are ready to flip, repeat the steps on the other side. Viola - diamonds!

Practice your new skills on the two recipes below - you are guaranteed to impress your hungry crowd!
