Ladies (& Gents) Who Lunch

by The Culinistas

Now that we are back in town we wanted to highlight some of our favorite work lunch spots, uptown, downtown and in between.

Located in the Met Breuer on Madison Avenue between 74th and 75th Streets, this uptown hotspot comes from the famed chef and restaurateur Igancio Mattos. Flora Bar opened in 2016 and the menu is both expansive and simple with a refined raw ba. Larger options from potato croquettes and a delicious burger set in an airy backdrop invite guests to linger for desserts by Natasha Pickowicz.

Open for lunch Tuesday through Friday 11:30am to 3:30pm. 945 Madison Ave, New York, NY

A mainstay gem of lower Manhattan is The Odeon from Keith McNally. You will be lucky if you are able to grab a seat outside and enjoy the people watching but inside is also wonderful with banquette seating and dim lighting. Enjoy a martini, oysters and a burger and reminisce about all the famous people who dined here before you - SNL cast members, Andy Warhol and the fashionable socialite crowd.

Open for lunch, Monday through Friday 11am to 4pm. 145 West Broadway New York, NY 10013

This is the place to be in the Financial District, if not all of downtown. A new American fare place from Chef James Kent and Restaurateur Jeff Katz former Eleven Madison Park and Del Posto team members. This Art Deco jewel box consists of a series of rooms with 16-foot windows leading to an open kitchen. This is where you should take your biggest clients to wine and dine!

Open for lunch Monday through Friday, 12:00PM to 2PM. 70 Pine Street, New York, NY.

A special thanks to The Odeon for the beautiful photograph.
