Hot Toddy Recipe

Autumn’s approach came quickly and the weather is brisk; time for a warming drink (a little kick never hurt either!). A Hot Toddy is easily prepared with pantry staples, so we recommend stocking up on spices and honey as a precursor to cold weather. We’re partial to bourbon toddies, although whiskey, brandy, and scotch are all excellent substitutes. Throw in a stick of cinnamon and a couple pods of cardamom for extra depth and nuance.

Savory Carrot Kugel

Serves 1
Prep Time: 5 Minutes


Ingredients

1 oz of Bourbon
1 TB honey
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
¼ cups boiling water
1 lemon round (for garnish)
1 cinnamon stick (for garnish)
3 pods cardamom

Instructions

Mix bourbon, honey, and lemon juice together in a mug. Stir in hot water until honey is completely dissolved. Rim the glass with lemon round and drop in cinnamon stick & cardamom.
